Rondeletia

Rondeletia is a genus of about 150 species of tropical trees and shrubs in the family Rubiaceae, native to Central America.
The plant has glossy, evergreen leaves and small, fragrant flowers that grow in clusters. The flowers have four or five petals and will attract birds and butterflies to your garden.

Name meaning

The genus name was given in honor of Guillaume Rondelet (1507-1566), a French naturalist and physician.
